JeromeDL: The Semantic Digital Library - User Guide


Access to Meta-data

JeromeDL delivers access not only to the resources but also to the meta-data. There are couple of meta-data standards supported by JeromeDL:
  1. User stays notified on the new publications uploaded to JeromeDL library by subscribing to RSS channel either with one of the channels listed in the shorthand (see Fig. 1) or with embedded link to RSS channel (recognized by many web browsers, e.g. Mozilla)

  2. Almost every page presented to the user by JeromeDL is rendered out of the RDF information, which user can get access to (see Fig. 2)

  4. To support different meta-data standards, JeromeDL utilized MarcOnt Mediation Services, which can be invoked by selecting the RDF icon next to the publication (see Fig. 3).

  6. Since there are many ways to express semantically rich information, JeromeDL aims to support more and more of them. Currently, users can facilitate from the information being embedded in HTML web pages in:
  7. Semantic information managed by JeromeDL is also detectable by Semantic Radar
